About Concrete Contractor Fountain Valley
We build driveways, patios, pool decks and other flatwork around your home. Every job is planned around who could get hurt, during the pour and for years after. That thinking shapes how we dig, form, reinforce, finish and hand the finished slab back to you.
How we approach a concrete job
We are a concrete contractor licensed by the California State License Board (CSLB). We work outside your home on the flat and stepped surfaces people walk, drive and play on every day. Concrete looks simple, but most of what makes it safe happens before the truck arrives: the subgrade, the base, the reinforcement and the slope.
A slab that settles leaves a trip edge. A pool deck finished too smooth turns slick when wet. Steps with uneven risers catch a heel. These are the failures we design against. We compact the base in lifts, set rebar or wire on chairs so it sits mid-slab instead of on the dirt, and cut control joints at a spacing that tells cracks where to go. We also slope each surface so water runs away from your foundation and off walking paths.
Before any digging, we have underground utilities marked through DigAlert, the Southern California one-call service. During the pour the work area stays fenced or taped off. We keep wet concrete away from skin, because fresh cement is strongly alkaline and can cause burns. When we saw-cut joints, we cut wet to hold down silica dust around your family and your neighbors.
Practices we keep on every job
A finish matched to where you walk
Texture is a safety choice. We use a broom finish on driveways and walkways, and a slip-resistant texture or grit additive in the sealer on pool decks and stamped concrete, where bare feet and water meet. If a polished look would trade away grip, we tell you plainly.
Steps built to consistent dimensions
Uneven riser heights are a common cause of falls. We form stairs so every riser and tread matches, and we plan handrail footings where they belong.
A protected site until it cures
Fresh concrete needs days before foot traffic and longer before a car. We barricade the area, give you clear dates for walking and driving on it, and leave no exposed rebar, open trenches or form stakes behind.
A line-item estimate and coverage after the pour
You get a written estimate showing base depth, slab thickness, reinforcement and finish, so you can see exactly what you are paying for. Our work comes with a 1-year warranty, and before the job starts we walk you through what that coverage includes.
Where we pour
We work at homes throughout Fountain Valley and nearby communities, including Huntington Beach, Westminster, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Costa Mesa, Midway City, Cypress, Orange, Tustin and Newport Beach. Many yards here sit on clay soils that swell and shrink with moisture, which is why base preparation gets so much of our attention. Our Services page covers everything from concrete side yards and courtyards to RV parking pads and garage floors.

Talk through your project with us
Tell us what you want built and how your family uses the space. We will ask about access, drainage and who walks there, then set a time to see the site and prepare a written estimate.
